Better late than never

So its now sunday and ive only just put up a post about this weeks meeting. sorry for the delay, its been a busy week.Anyway.
Yes there was a meeting this week and infact we made very good progress. the robot moves.
Well we started by testing out the motors, using a big old lead battery.

Then we connected up the electronics (and switched the batteries to the lipos) and handed the robot over to the programmers. what did they manage to do... well get the robot moving of course.

note this video was taken at an early stage, when the robot could only go forward, we did manage to get the robot to turn.

After the programmers got the robot moving they were asked to write a programme to allow the robot to be driven by a remote control, this made our team leader rather happy and he spent most of the time driving the robot around the room.

So what else got done... well while most of the team were "playing" with the robot two of us continued to work on the winch system for the door. making some alignment brackets, dont ask why this needed two people thats just how we decided to do it.
